Reported tells

Official lookup

Beckett's lookup verifies BGS, BVG and BCCG cert numbers; Beckett says new labels carry a QR code to verify at beckett.com.

Source

Tamper-evident holder

Beckett describes its holders as ultrasonically welded and tamper-evident; any sign of opening is a stop.

Source

Label color by grade

Beckett: Black label = Pristine 10; Gold = Pristine 10 & Gem Mint 9.5; Silver = all other grades. A mismatch is a red flag.

Four subgrades

Every BGS grade shows four subgrades; check them against the lookup.

Patent text & label

Reported fake tells: missing/wrong patent text, subgrade font issues, no perforated label edges, squashed logo.
