Summary
A Collectors Universe forum member reports that a listing showed a counterfeit 1881-CC Morgan in a fake NGC-style holder. He says he told the seller, notified a contact at NGC, and the cert was updated (a forum member notes the NGC lookup showed "POSSIBLE COUNTERFEIT HOLDER"), after which the listing ended. About two weeks later, he says, it was relisted under eBay's Authenticity Guarantee. He bought it on Sep 2, 2026; the authenticator review was completed Sep 10, eBay removed the listing "for a policy violation," and he was credited the purchase price.
